Time

Time presses on
when an act of dissatisfaction occurs,
time presses on.
Left out of step,
a mind becomes hazy
and something deemed important
becomes increasingly insignificant,
a considerable amount of ourselves is lost,
depleted from the standard,
a sacrifice unintended.
And when the time to distinguish
what has fallen occurs,
we obtain more than what was surrendered
and time presses on.
